Electrocompaniet Ampliwire II power amplifier. Based on the Famous Otala amplifier from Norway, aka "The Two Channel Amplifier" which was declared the best sounding amplifier in the world at its introduction. Using circuit topology designed by Dr Otala, Electrocompaniet made this amplifier in limited quantities for the ultra high fidelity market. It is in very good overall condition and has excellent sound. This version is a 50w amplifier and it is a few years later ('84) refinement of the original version of '79, however it has a massive transformer, more commonly used in 100w units. The sound is very warm and smooth, much like a tube amplifiers sound but without noise and excellent LF control. Black faceplate and chassis. Very rare amplifier. $795.00
